Yellow Zone

What does a Yellow Zone learner look like?

  • Complete all tasks to a high standard
  • Know my next steps and actively seeks evidence to show my achievements
  • Can show they are able to make good choices about where they work and be a role model for others.
  • Be responsible with ICT and a role model to others
  • Is respectful of others and is encouraging by giving praise to others.

  • Goes out of their way to respect the environment
  • Is showing sportsmanship and helps others to show manaakitanga in break times.
  • Shows leadership by being a positive role model
  • Completes at least one home learning project per term
What choices do Yellow Zone Learners have at school:
I can choose where I learn and who I learn with
I can choose to be a Target Time learner and choose my activities
I can go on sports exchanges
I can use ICT whenever it is appropriate





Red Zone

What does a Red Zone learner look like?

  • Complete all tasks to a good standard
  • Know my next steps and work towards them
  • Can show they are able to make good choices about who they sit with
  • Uses appropriate websites and takes care of devices.
  • Is respectful of others  and offers support to others

  • Is recycling effectively including litterless lunches
  • Is showing sportsmanship and manaakitanga in the playground
  • Claps and sings when appropriate and encourages others to do the same.
  • Moves around the school in a respectful and quiet manner.
  • Completes one home learning project per term
What choices do Red Zone Learners have at school:
I can choose where I learn and sometimes who I sit with
I can choose to be a Target Time learner and choose my activities
I can go on sports exchanges
I can use ICT whenever it is appropriate




Blue Zone

What does a Blue Zone learner look like?

  • Complete all tasks on time
  • Know my next steps
  • Is showing  good choices about where they learn the best
  • Uses ICT for learning tasks
  • Is respectful of others and listens to others opinions

  • Is taking home lunch rubbish and keeping desk tidy
  • Can line up boy/girl without being reminded
  • Listens to the referee and respects others rights to play and be included
  • Can sit in assembly quietly and respectfully
  • Completes one home learning project

What choices do Blue Zone Learners have at school:
I sit at my desk group to learn
I am learning to be a Target Time learner I can choose activities
I can go on sports exchanges
I can use ICT whenever it is appropriate

BLACK ZONE
What does a Black Zone learner look like?
 
  • Complete most tasks
  • Know one of my next steps
  • Can sometimes make good choices about where they learn the best
  • Needs support to line up
  • Completes spelling and reading in their diary

  • Is able to use approved websites only
  • Is working on being able to be respectful of others.
  • Is beginning to be aware of recycling regularly
  • Is learning to play fair and use appropriate language in the playground
  • Is needing to sit close to the teacher in assembly to monitor behaviour
What choices do Black Zone Learners have at school:
I sit at my desk to learn
I do the set tasks that the teacher gives me
I do not leave the school on any sports events
I can only use ICT when supervised by a yellow buddy
